Jill Leventon of the British Society of Enamels and the Guild of Enamellers is running two standalone enamelling workshops at Mid Wales Arts Centre.
You will first prepare an enamelled background on copper. You will then use a screen to transfer a design to it. Further work, with screens, if wished, can then be added. Several smaller samples can be made before embarking on a final piece. You will be able to sample a variety of prepared screens and learn how to make your own or have them made. You will also use cut/torn paper to make your own designs.
If you have them, please bring:
- Craft knife and cutting board.
- Scrap paper, A4 and bigger, preferably used printing paper, but glossy magazines are fine.
- Dust mask.
