Positive Environmental Art
Overview
Works
This year’s Climate Change exhibition focuses on: Positive Environmental Art (PEA) it is full of imaginative, daring, and sustainable artwork which can be seen in the grounds and galleries of Mid Wales Arts. Our intention is to provoke awareness and involvement, inform, raise questions and encourage conversation, so that we can all make changes to our behaviour with a view to slow down Global Warming.
The exhibition sends warning messages that must not be ignored to the world, government and business, while demonstrating how to be creative in sustainable and positive ways. It is a fun, diverse exhibition for all ages with activities to inspire creativity with the resources we have at hand.
Building on the strength of involvement and fantastic response to Mid Wales Arts 2021 Climate Change Exhibition, we were determined to hold a bigger exhibition here in 2022 making use of our new Sculpture Hall. This year we asked artists to consider the environment in their choice of materials and techniques. With focus on the very important subject of Climate Change.
Artists from our local community here in Wales and the rest of the UK have responded positively to the challenge. We have also had submissions from as far away as Turkey, Germany, Africa and New Zealand.
The exhibition will run from the 5th of June until the 7th of August, Thursday to Sunday 11-4pm.
