We’re a not-for-profit, voluntary organisation working with artists, young people and the local community to develop access to the arts at all levels in Mid Wales. The centre is run for and by artists, volunteers and good will. Entrance is free. Your donations are used to support our work developing arts awareness and involvement in the local and wider community, and buy art equipment and materials so that we can continue to expand the range, scope and quality of our vibrant artist led workshops, exhibitions and events.
Opening 1st August
Stefan Knapp Retrospective
Stefan will be widely remembered not only for the pioneering brilliance of his artistic achievements, but also for his instinctive goodness; the gifts of important pieces of his work to schools, universities and hospitals too underfunded to buy works of art; his unfailing modesty; his intelligence and his courage.
Opening 8th August
Exhibition by Invited Artists
This summer we have invited prominent women artists who live in Mid Wales and are actively working in the fields of colour, form and history in the Welsh Landscape to exhibit in the Barn Gallery.
New works by: Dr Mary Lloyd Jones, Gill Crozier, Lindsay Davies, Judith Crawford, Alison Lochhead, Diane Rose, Junko Burton, Gini Wade and Sara Philpott
We are particularly pleased to have a considerable number of works by Dr Mary Lloyd Jones, one of Wales’ most popular and established artists.
All artforms, all ages
Regular art clubs and workshops
We have been running pottery and sculpture workshops for 10 years. The focus of our programme are our regular weekly clubs and groups that cater for all ages and abilities, run by a talanted and supportive group of artists and arts educators. In April we reopened the art room and our classes are back in full flow. Come and join in!
