We have had a new sculpture delivered to Mid Wales Arts this week:  ‘Mumma Moon’ by Gemma Hughes

“I have made several versions of my Moon-in-a-Box. This one happens to be the ‘middle sized’ one to date, so was affectionately called ‘Mumma’ for short. 

In nice bit of synchronicity, the arrival coincides with the first of May’s full moons. She is sometimes called ‘Mother’s Moon’ because of the abundance of new growth and new life at this peak period of springtime. 

May is the only month this year which has 2 full moons in it.” – Gemma Hughes
